How Growth Will Affect Your Life In Profound Ways.

Growth is one of the things people are most afraid of.
We’re afraid because it requires us to accept that we’re flawed.
We need to accept our flaws if we want to overcome them, and grow.

Growth is a slow and painful process.
It’s really hard to admit our wrong-doings, while being proactive and embracing change.

But that’s really the hardest part.
To accept that we need to grow.
To accept that we want to grow.

But once you have reached past this point.
There is no return, and you’ll embrace growth as a part of who you are.

I see growth as a treat that I give to myself everyday.
It’s the reward from everyday experiences.

And we all grow no matter if we want it or not.
But we can learn to grow faster, better and higher.

We’ve been hearing about this concept of “Growth Mindset” a lot in recent years, and with merit.
Growth Mindset is the practice of consciously seeking growth in everything we do, instead of just letting it happen to us.

It is the embodiment of us wanting to take matters into our own hands.
And while we can’t control everything, we can still control how we react and learn from everyday events.

Focus on the little things Just think about how many things will happen to you in your life.
The amount of tiny decisions we make everyday is just astounding, from the coffee you choose to drink, to the things you’re going to say at your next job interview.

Most decisions happen organically, without you thinking much about it.
It seems like your body and mind have decided what to say and what to do for you.

So in a sense, what you want to focus on, is not every single decision that you’ll ever make, but rather the wiring that dictates how you’ll make your decisions.

You can reorient your mind, little by little, to allow your body and mind to make better decisions, decisions that will change your life for good.

So the first thing you should do is pay attention to your thoughts when something happens to you.
Try to identify if there would’ve been a better way to act, and if so just be conscious of it.
Each time you repeat that will bring you one step closer to better decisions, and thus you will grow more efficiently.

Here’s some ideas to help you in your journey for Growth…
Challenge yourself with small objectives every day!

Be mindful of how you react to events, and determine how you can better act the next time.

Write down your thoughts.
It will help you articulate, organize and improve your thoughts over time.

Speak to people around you about growth.
Ask them what it means to them and how they have integrated it in their lives.

Thanks!
